Springs Muslim School beams with pride
The matric learners attained an impressive spread of distinctions across various subjects.

The Springs Muslim School’s matric learners have just completed another academic year. With the school achieving a 95% pass rate, principal Mohamed Asvat says the learners did him proud.
“Through hard work and dedication, the results were promising, and our learners did not disappoint.”
He says the school has celebrated 30 years of excellence since its 1995 establishment.
“We are committed to continuing with the tradition of providing holistic education with a focus on moral ethos.”
The school’s top learners achieved the following:
- Rabia Osman: eight distinctions (English, Afrikaans, life orientation (LO), Arabic, maths, accounting, life sciences, physical sciences);
- Zainab Mashiane: Four distinctions (Afrikaans, maths literacy, tourism, LO);
- Tasneem Laher: Four distinctions (Afrikaans, history, life sciences, LO);
- Muhammed Asvat: Four distinctions (accounting, Arabic, tourism, LO);
- Juwairiah Omar: Four distinctions (English, Afrikaans, LO, accounting).
