WATCH: Grade Ones enjoy first day of school

Numerous primary schools in town were swarming with hundreds of children in their school uniforms reporting for their first day of school.

Many barefoot boys and girls filled the Grade One classes at Strubenvale Primary and Laerskool Christiaan Beyers.

Both of these schools’ little ones went to school yesterday already to meet their teachers and become familiar with the environment.

The Advertiser visited a few primary schools this morning and didn’t witness any apprehensive children, only a bunch of excited Grade One learners.
