Springs Secondary honours top students

The learners worked really hard to attain their achievements.

Springs Secondary School celebrates its Class of 2024 and its top learners. The principal, Dr Kishan Bodalina, talks about how everyone came together to ensure the success of the matriculants.

“Our teachers have excelled and have gone beyond the call of duty just to get such great performance. I am truly grateful to them and the support from our district, they have given us a lot of support.

“We are also thankful for the support from our parents and governing body – all of this has been possible because of our stakeholders.”

He extends his pride to the learners for their hard work.

“The hard work that our kids have put in. This doesn’t come without their efforts. I am also very grateful to God and everyone who contributed to our success.

“We are looking at 2025 as a challenge and we hope it will be even better.”

The top learners achieved the following:

  • Muneebah Hajat: eight distinctions (English HL, Afrikaans FAL, maths, life orientation, accounting, life sciences, physical sciences, business studies)
  • Tiyaana Ganesh: six distinctions (English HL, Afrikaans FAL, maths, life sciences, physical sciences, geography)
  • Koketso Madingwane: five distinctions (English HL, Afrikaans FAL, life sciences, physical sciences, geography)
  • Tasmiyyah Rassool: four distinctions (Afrikaans FAL, accounting, life sciences, physical sciences)
  • Shaheen Ruthven: three distinctions (maths literacy, geography, tourism)
  • Nabeeha Hassan: three distinctions (accounting, business studies, economics).
