Young scout earns prestigious Leaping Wolf Award

Blake worked tirelessly for four years and has finally attained the Leaping Wolf Award.

Blake Erasmus has been the next scout to receive the highly sought-after Leaping Wolf Award.

The little boy says he learnt a lot on his journey to receiving the award.

“What I learned in Cubs is how to lead my team and how to work together. My team taught me to be patient, and kind and to think outside of the box.”

He reminisces on the years that seem to have gone by so quickly.

“It’s been an amazing four years in Cubs and I loved every second of it. I worked hard to get my Leaping Wolf and I’m thankful to the people who pushed to get it.”

He also adds that he will miss his friends in Cubs but they will meet again in Scouts.

Den scouter, Nicole Swanapoel, speaks nothing but praises when she hears Blake’s name.

“Blake was an awesome and keen kid to work with, he always wanted to be a paramedic and when we had events, he was always there to help out with first aid.

“He was always excited to be there at cubs. I wish him all the best on his scouting journey. I cannot wait for him to receive his Springbok badge in Scouts.”
