• February 22
In honouring Pregnancy Awareness Week, the Mommy Bear Women and Baby Clinic in Selcourt is hosting a pregnancy awareness lunch at 11:00. For more information, contact the clinic on 062 833 7249.

The Springs SPCA will host its first 5km fun run for the year. Entries are R120, including a beverage of choice. For more information, call Nicky Meiring on 084 455 2220.

Die Geduld Karateklub vier hul tweede verjaarsdag met ‘n heerlike familiemark. Die mark sal vanaf 11:00 tot 17:00 wees met vermaak en ‘n verskeidenheid stalletjies. Vir meer inligting, kontak Hendrehet by 082 569 8495.

The Jesus Outreach is hosting a 2km fun walk at PJ Nursery in Dersley. Participants are encouraged to dress up, with a prize for best-dressed. Entry is R50 and the walk starts at 10:00. All returns will go towards their feeding scheme. For more information, contact San van Wyk on 072 393 1576.

• April 5
As part of their fundraising campaign, Kattitude will host a 5km run at the Strubenvale Circle. The run will start at 07:00 and all participants are encouraged to dress up like a cat. For more information, contact Tanya Kitching on 082 860 2971.

• Meat World Springs hosts a food market every Saturday from 06:30 to 14:00 and calls on all vendors to apply. Send your name, ID number, name and a photograph of the food product you wish to sell for consideration to marketing@meatworld.co.za or call 011 815 1494.

• The Springs Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday. Buy fresh, affordable produce, arts and crafts, delicious food and milk. The venue is Den Akker at President’s Park from 08:00 to 13:00.
