Nurse remains in custody after alleged rape and sexual assault charges
The Duduza man appeared in court on Wednesday.
A male nurse from Duduza will remain in police custody after his appearance in the Nigel Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
The 49-year-old is accused of raping a 17-year-old boy and sexually assaulting another young man (19) in 2023.
According to reports, in August of that year, the youngest of the two victims was admitted to a hospital in Springs. When the boy was discharged, it is alleged the accused offered to visit him at home to give him his medication.
Before leaving, the accused asked the boy to accompany him to his vehicle, where the rape allegedly happened on two occasions.
It is also alleged the accused was seen parked in an open veld with different boys on several occasions.
Community members then reported him, and the victims came forward and opened cases.
