Two SOB centuries sink Vosloorus

The local cricket club has had a good run to the season so far.

Springs Old Boys (SOB) Cricket Club played against Vosloorus on Sunday. Vosloorus sent SOB in to bat first.

It was a great batting displayed between the top three batsmen: Ruan van der Merwe with 41 runs, Jonathan Diedericks with 123 runs, and Neill Joubert with 116 runs. SOB scored 327 runs in 50 overs.

The Springs club’s bowling attack also produced the wickets.

Christie Neethling took 1/12 in seven overs, which included two maidens. Not to be outdone, Jaco Potgieter took 2/11 in three overs.

Captain Riaan van der Merwe’s 3/8 in five overs led the attack and Vosloorus was bowled out for 72 runs.
