Watch out for tender scammers
Always confirm information through official communications channels.
The City of Ekurhuleni has recently been made aware of fraudulent activities targeting potential bidders.
Scammers are impersonating CoE officials and attempting to deceive suppliers into providing sensitive information or soliciting payments.
In the most recent incident, a service provider was called by someone claiming to be from CoE, informing them that they are recommended, and further requesting for the bidder to thank them in terms of monetary value.
The tender in question has not even been evaluated yet.
