Springs Premier U8 storm past Kempton Park with 7–1 win

Springs Premier FC’s U8 L1 side earned a much-needed win on Saturday, beating Kempton Park FC 7–1 at Veritas College.

Springs Premier FC’s U8 League 1 team sent a strong message on Saturday morning with a 7–1 home victory over Kempton Park FC at Veritas College.

Despite windy conditions, supportive parents came out to watch the young players in action. From the outset, the team showed urgency, dominating possession and attacking with great tenacity.

After a run of challenging games that included a draw and some losses, Springs Premier arrived determined to prove themselves and they delivered.

The team’s energy was evident from kick-off. They defended solidly and constantly threatened around the goal area. Goals quickly came thanks to Maqhawe Zulu and Bryce Mndebele, who completed a hat-trick. Once the momentum was on their side, it was difficult to stop them.

Mndebele was named man of the match for his outstanding all-round performance. Coach Kgaugelo Mashoeu praised his team after the match.

“I’m happy for the boys. We needed this. After recent performances, this win is a big morale booster. They worked hard and stayed focused. I’m proud of every single one of them,” said Mashoeu.

This victory puts Springs Premier back on a winning streak as they continue their league campaign. Mashoeu added that the performance demonstrated the young team’s talent and determination to bounce back and fight.
