Springs Premier FC faces mixed results ahead of home fixtures at Veritas College

Springs Premier Football Club experienced a weekend of highs and lows across various age groups, played six matches, losing two, drawing two, and winning two on August 9 and 10.

The junior division came prepared for their games, but despite the preparation, it was not enough, as they played six games with two games lost, two draws, and two wins.

In the U12 L1 league, Springs Premier drew 4-4 with Benoni Northerns in a thrilling match, while the U12 L5 side secured a convincing 6-2 victory over Springs Tigers..

The U8 L1 side lost to Benoni Spurs 4-1. The U10 L2 team won narrowly 1-0 against Alberton, and the U11 L3 team drew with Old Bens 3-3 and lost 3-0 to Mercurial Stars FC in Sunday’s U10 L4 match.

It was a different scenario in the senior division. The teams struggled to obtain a win. With five games played, they managed just two wins.

The U13 L3 team lost 5-1 to Old Bens. The U15 L4 team brought happiness to the faces of the fans with a 4-3 victory over Boca.

In the U17 leagues, the L1 team won 2-1 against Field Rulers and the L3 team lost 3-0 to Boca. The U17 Premier team also fell 3–0 to Luso Africa.

While some teams enjoyed victories over the weekend, it also revealed some areas of weakness, as many divisions suffered tough defeats. The club hopes to return fighting in their next matches.

Springs Premier will play more matches at its home ground, Veritas College, this weekend. Fans are encouraged to turn up to cheer their teams. All games on August 16 will be played at Veritas College.
