Miss Springs 2024 will compete on the international stage, carrying the hopes of her community and country.

Miss Springs 2024 Bejandri Lourens jetted off to the Philippines to participate in Miss Asia Pacific 2025 on September 21, where she represented South Africa.

The preliminary rounds of the pageant will be on October 3 and the finals on October 8. The pageant will be streamed live on the Miss Asia Pacific International Facebook page.

Speaking to the Springs Advertiser, Lourens said she was excited, grateful, and a little emotional. She said that it had been her dream since she was a little girl to stand on an international stage to represent her country with pride.

“Now that the moment is so close, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for every step of the journey that has brought me here,” said Lourens.

Lourens travelled solo to the Philippines, saying it was a big step and an opportunity to grow, gain independence, and embrace the journey.

“Though I won’t have anyone physically by my side, I know I carry my family, friends, and my community in my heart. Their love and encouragement make me feel like I’m never alone.”

When asked what to expect, the current Miss Springs said that she expects it to be an unforgettable experience, one that challenges her and pushes her out of her comfort zone, allowing her to shine.

She added that she was excited to meet women from all over the world, to learn from them, to celebrate diversity, and to create lifelong memories.
