EMPD arrests five undocumented people in Springs

EMPD officers arrested five undocumented people in Springs during an operation that also checked liquor outlets for compliance.

EMPD Eastern Region Task Team officers arrested five undocumented individuals on the morning of September 24 in Springs and also conducted checks at local liquor outlets.

The metro police said the officers encountered illegal immigrants in the Springs area who could not produce any form of identification.

“They were immediately arrested and detained at Springs Police Station,” the EMPD said.

The officers also visited liquor outlets in the area to ensure compliance. According to the EMPD, all the outlets checked were found to be compliant.
