Miss Springs youth categories rescheduled to November due to school activities

Organiser Chanté van Schalkwyk says the Miss Springs Petite, Little and Junior contests were postponed to give participants a fair chance to enter.

The Miss Springs 2025 competition for the Petite, Little and Junior categories has been postponed to November 22.

The event was originally scheduled for October 17 and 18 at Die Agterplaas in Casseldale, followed by Miss Springs on October 25.

Speaking to the Springs Advertiser, organiser Chanté van Schalkwyk said the postponement is due to clashes with other bigger pageants and a number of school activities for the younger groups.

“It has become difficult for the participants to commit to this competition. I would rather move it and give everyone a fair chance to enter in time than have it rushed and not enjoy themselves,” said van Schalkwyk.

She added that she received several requests from participants asking for the postponement because of the timing clashes with school extracurriculars.

Van Schalkwyk also confirmed that doors for guests will open at 18:00 for the pageantry on October 25. For those interested in entering the Petite, Little and Junior categories, contact the organiser on 078 230 7806.
