Ekurhuleni Mayor Xhakaza wishes matrics success ahead of final exams
Over 39,000 Ekurhuleni learners set to begin final exams as Mayor Xhakaza offers words of encouragement.
The executive mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni, Alderman Nkosindiphile Xhakaza, sends well wishes to Grade 12 learners.
Learners are currently preparing to sit for the National Senior Certificate examinations, which mark the final assessment of their school career.
Starting from October 21 (today), just over 700 000 young people across the country will begin their matric examinations, marking the culmination of years of dedication and perseverance.
“This is why I join the chorus to wish these youngsters all the best as they sit for the most important exam in their schooling life.
“In the City of Ekurhuleni, we are proud to have more than 39 000 learners writing their matric final examinations this year.
“We are thrilled to witness this monumental step in their lives as they transition into young adulthood and prepare for the beginning of a new era in their lives,” said Xhakaza.
“It is always heartwarming and inspiring to share in the excitement, anticipation, and determination of our learners as they prepare to take their place in our broader socio-economic society.
“May all our learners experience this milestone with vigour, focus, and unwavering commitment to succeed.

“The fact that you have persevered for so many years to reach this stage is a clear demonstration that you have what it takes to take this critical leap.”
On behalf of the City of Ekurhuleni and its citizens, Xhakaza extends best wishes to all matriculants sitting for this year’s examinations.
He cited that their success is not only a personal achievement but a triumph for their families, communities, and the city as a whole.
“We look forward to seeing more of our young people entering institutions of higher learning, honing their passions, and returning to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of our municipality,” he said.
