Newly refurbished meteor drone back on display at Springs Military and Mine Museum

Following a month of restoration at Prestige Panelbeaters, the meteor drone has been unveiled at the Springs Military and Mine Museum.

The newly refurbished SAAF 1965 meteor drone is now mounted on display at the Springs Military and Mine Museum for all to admire.

As previously reported by the Springs Advertiser, local business Prestige Panelbeaters took the responsibility for restoring this historic military piece.

After a month of fibreglass work, fixing dents and priming, the drone looks as good as new.

The meteor drone and 40 other exhibits are on display at the museum, which operates on weekends from 08:30 to 12:30.
