Netcare N17 Hospital supports outreach with health screenings, awareness

The Netcare N17 staff partnered with a community outreach in Daveyton to offer free health screenings and advice.

The Netcare N17 Hospital’s emergency department and doctors recently participated in the One-Stop Community Care outreach in Daveyton, Benoni.

They partnered with the Devoted Citizen, the Hope Restoration Ministries and the People Matter Foundation.

“It was a pleasure to dedicate our time to this vital opportunity for health awareness and screenings,” said Dr Bongani Nghondzweni, the practice partner in the emergency department.

The hospital stated the event’s preventative health benefits were notable, and thanked the organisers and community members who stepped forward to prioritise their health.

The emergency unit manager, Sister Bonnie Maseko, enrolled nursing assistants Maria Tladi and Karen Earl, and Netcare 911 paramedic Gabi Mabena-Sepenyane. They were among the team that volunteered to provide free health checks and counselling.
