African Tigers FC aims to excel in 2026 season

After closing the year with a prizegiving ceremony last year, African Tigers FC is preparing for training, league participation and new initiatives aimed at developing football in Springs.

African Tigers Football Club concluded 2025 with a prize-giving ceremony where they recognised their young players for their participation in the league throughout the season.

The club is now gearing up to start its training as soon as the schools open.

The chairperson, Imtiaz Choughlay, revealed that they will join the Eastern Local Football Association the moment they have three divisions – U9, U12 and U13. He added that there is a possibility of producing U6, U8 and U9 teams.

“There have been a lot of inquiries from players who want to join the African Tigers Football Club. All players are welcome to join, as we are planning an open day where they can register with the club. We will also be having trials,” he said.
