CoE updates waste collection days for Springs residents

The City of Ekurhuleni has introduced changes to its waste collection schedule, with some Springs areas now serviced on different days of the week.

The City of Ekurhuleni’s (CoE) waste management services business unit urges residents to note changes to its waste collection calendar.

According to CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, the amendments were implemented on January 1, with some areas now changing to different days of the week.

“The changes were implemented to ensure effective and seamless service delivery,” he said.

This schedule is valid until December 2027. Any complaints about uncollected waste can be logged with the CoE call centre on 0860 543 000, via email at call.centre@ekurhuleni.gov.za, or using the My CoE app.”
Springs dates are as follows:
Monday:
Modder East, Dersley Park, Presidentsdam, Krugersrus, Fullcrum, New State Area, New Era, Dal Fouche, Wright Park, Tornado, Riverside, Phumulo 2, Reedville, Presidents Ranch, Highland, Overlone, Hostel, Mthembu Village, and Kwa-Thema CBD.
Tuesday:
Strubenvale and Ext, Casseldale, Lodeyko, Edelweiss (Bucks), Edelweiss (Flowers), Kwa-Thema (Phelindaba), Rest in Peace, Thembelisha, Vergenoeg, Grootvaly SH, Palmietkuil, and Nuffield.
Wednesday:
East Geduld, Rowhill, Geduld Ext, Central Petersfield and Ext, Paul Krugersoord, Geduld, Kwa-Thema Ext 4, Masimini, Kwa-Thema Ext 1, New Payneville, Gugulethu, Welgedacht, Slovo Park, Rietfontein, Enstra, and Kwa-Thema Ext.
Thursday:
Welgedacht SH and Ext, Persida, Bakerton, Springs New Town, Oranjehof, The Springs, Pollak Park, Springs Ext, White City, Kwa-Thema Ext 6, Deep Levels, Payneville, Reservoir, Scheme, Kwa-Thema, Springs Old Town and CBD.
Friday:
Struisbult and Ext, Selection Park Poolside, Selection Park Hostel Side, Daggafontein, Daggafontein Ext 1, Kwa-Thema Ext 2 and 3, Golden Springs, Vogelstruisbult, and Selcourt.
