Springs Ringball Club hosts ringball day

The day was graced by 12 teams from far and wide playing to win their ringball games.

On January 17, Springs Ringball Club held its annual ringball day under the guidance of chairperson Sus Louw.

Twelve teams from far and wide entered, but for the second consecutive year, the Springs team, Flamingo Force, went home as the top log winners. The runners-up in the top log were The Beer Drinkers from Pretoria.

Gerhard van Jaarsveld from Flamingo Force won the men’s player of the day prize, while Marlene Bester from team Suicide Squad won women’s player of the day; both of them are in the top log.

In the bottom log, team Piesangskille won, with Fusion Force as the runners-up. Men’s player of the day in the bottom log was Jaco de Villiers from Piesangskille, and women’s was Dominique Chapman from team Bottom Loggers.



The upcoming men’s player was Adriaan Minne, from team Haal Asem, and the upcoming women’s player was Megan Olivier from Flamingo Force.

The official referee for the day was Annelie Patterson, coming from Suicide Squad. The team manager for the day was Ansie van Tonder, for the second year, who is also part of team Flamingo Force.

The Springs Ringball Club practises on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Hoërskool Hugenote from 18:30 for the juniors and 18:45 for the seniors.
