HopeHill Church set to celebrate 10-year birthday in Springs
HopeHill Church will celebrate its 10th anniversary on May 31 with a fun day, guest speaker and reflections on a decade of serving the Springs community.
HopeHill Church is set to celebrate a decade of being a beacon of hope in the community during its 10th anniversary celebration on May 31 at 09:00 at the church on Wit Road in Lodeyko.
Speaking to the Springs Advertiser, the lead pastors, Barrett and Sarah-Jane Grieve, affectionately called pastors Baz and SJ, shared their excitement.
“As we reflect on the past decade, our hearts are incredibly full. Our church is a beacon of hope in Springs and the surrounding areas.”
The event will feature fun games, food trucks, and Ps Andre Olivier from River Church will be the guest speaker.
“Each Sunday creates a life-giving space for people to grow in God and with a happy community of people. A place where people can find real hope, for real people, in a real world,” Baz said.

HopeHill Church has participated in many uplifting projects, including feeding and clothing schemes and caring for those in need.
The church has also served as a safe space for many people seeking help to overcome addiction, as well as support with grief, marriage, family matters, and general counselling.
SJ added that the church’s programmes for children and young adults are hope-filled spaces where young people can find purpose and a sense of belonging.
“In 2021, our church merged with Word Christian Church, which has served Springs for more than 40 years. So this building and its people have been a source of hope for decades,” she said.
