Kishou JKS Karate Springs ranks among top dojos at nationals

Kishou JKS Karate Springs students impressed against competitors from across South Africa and Zimbabwe in the JKS Nationals.

Kishou JKS Karate Springs participated in the JKS Nationals on May 9, where they placed in the top 10 Dojos overall.

The students competed against various dojos from across the country and Zimbabwe, displaying hard work and admirable discipline.

“Every student who stepped onto the tatami represented the dojo with courage and respect, showcasing the hard work and dedication they have put into their training,” sensei Charmaine Esterhuizen said.

Esterhuizen adds that seeing her students give their best is what makes her proud.

“Seeing them support one and grow in confidence throughout the competition was truly special.

“Whether they brought home medals or valuable experience, each student contributed to the success of the dojo and made us proud,” she said.

Esterhuizen also expressed her gratitude to everyone who supports the dojo.

“We feel incredibly blessed and grateful for the opportunity to compete, learn, and grow together as a karate family.

“Congratulations to every competitor; your hard work paid off, and the future of Kishou JKS Karate Springs looks brighter than ever.

“This is only the beginning, and we will continue striving for even greater achievements in the future,” she concluded.
