Hot Pot Paint and Hardware relocates to larger premises in Springs
Springs hardware store broadens product range after relocation.
Hot Pot Paint and Hardware has moved to larger premises to improve its customers’ shopping experience and expand its product offering.
The family business, founded in 1976, recently relocated from its 12th Street premises to the old Mazda dealership down the road.
Owner Gerald Kalil told the Springs Advertiser that while the store’s location and appearance have changed, customers can continue to expect the same service and competitive prices that have built the business’s reputation over the years.
“We’re just changing our image a little bit, but we’re keeping the same service and the same good pricing as usual. There’s not going to be any change,” said Kalil.

The move marks the third relocation in the business’s history. Hot Pot Paint and Hardware first opened its doors in a small shop on Fifth Avenue before expanding into a second adjoining shop.
As the business continued to grow, it later moved to its 12th Street premises.
Kalil shared that the latest move was driven by the need for more space to accommodate a wider range of products and provide customers with a more comfortable shopping environment.
He explained that, as a business, they needed larger premises and more space and wanted to make it a pleasant journey for customers to come and shop with them.

The expanded store now offers a broader selection of products beyond its traditional paint, power tools and geyser ranges. Customers can now find plumbing supplies, building materials, hardware products, locks and a variety of tools under one roof.
“We have broadened our spectrum of the business. Things we never used to sell, we are selling now,” Kalil said.
Reflecting on the company’s journey, Kalil said the business has grown steadily over the years thanks to the support of customers from Springs and surrounding towns.
“We have grown every year. We have gone from strength to strength, and we are happy in Springs. Our clientele in Springs has been good to us, and we also get customers from all the surrounding towns,” he said.

Looking ahead, Kalil noted that the focus remains on maintaining excellent service and continuing to support the local community.
“For the nearly 50 years we have been here, we need to carry on doing what we are doing and keep all our customers happy. That’s our goal,” he said.
Kalil also thanked loyal customers for their continued support and invited new customers to visit the revamped store and experience its expanded offerings.
The new store is situated on 4th Avenue and 12th Street, and Kalil will still be based at the old store to direct customers to the new one.
