Public input sought on drafting of new water service by-laws

A meeting will be held at Springs Main Hall on February 1.

The City of Ekurhuleni calls on the community to participate in the process of drafting the new water service by-laws.

The Draft Water Services By-law intends to give effect to clause 11 Chapter 3 of the Water Services Act (Act 108 of 1997), which puts a duty on the city as a water service authority to progressively ensure efficient, affordable, economical and sustainable access to water services to all consumers and/or potential consumers in its area of jurisdiction.

Any person who wants to comment on the proposed City of Ekurhuleni Water Services By-laws Draft can email their comments by no later than March 31 to Waterservicebylaw@ekurhuleni.gov.za.
