Grietjie Poolman wins multiple gold medals at National Archery Championships

The Protea archer delivered standout performances and now prepares for the world stage in the USA.

The South African National Field Archery Championships and South African National Indoor and Field Archery Association (SANIFAA) took place during the weekend of March 20 to 22 in Bloemfontein, where the head coach of Dynamic Archery and Protea archer Grietjie Poolman took a gold medal after three days of shooting.

During the weekend of March 27 to 29 at the 76th South African National Championships, South African National Archery Association (SANAA) and the fourth Southern Regional Championships 2026, which are part of the African region, Poolman took Gold medals in the Compound Women 50+, Compound Mixed Team 50+ with Patrick Roux as partner and Compound Women 50+ Southern Region categories.

She will represent South Africa as a Protea Archer at the World Field Archery Championships (WFAC) in Yankton, South Dakota, USA, from July 26 to August 1.
