Springs SAPS runners shine at Two Oceans Marathon

Captain Sagathavan Pather and Sergeant Mmeselane Ramoshu reflected on their marathon journeys.

Two policemen from Springs SAPS participated in the Two Oceans Marathon on April 11 in Cape Town.

Captain Sagathavan Pather participated in his fourth marathon while Sergeant Mmeselane Ramoshu participated in his fifth.

Pather told the Springs Advertiser that this year’s marathon was special to him. He said that every year teaches you something new, but this time everything came together from the training, the mindset, and the execution.

“Stronger, wiser, and proud to say this was my best time yet. Grateful for the journey, the lessons, and the finish line feeling that never gets old,” shared the captain.

Ramoshu expressed that the Two Oceans is his favourite ultra marathon because of the route profile with high elevation, landmarks and the scenery on the left side along the Indian and Atlantic Oceans.
