The public is invited to enjoy a fun-filled family day while supporting an important cause at the Brakpan Airfield on August 10.

The Fly-in & Empower Her Charity 5km fun run will bring together aviation enthusiasts, fitness lovers and families for a day of entertainment and community spirit.

The event aims to raise awareness and funds for La Belle Empower Her, which provides menstrual cups and menstrual health education to girls in need.

Through this initiative, the organisation helps young girls manage their menstrual health with confidence and reduces barriers that may prevent them from attending school.

Apart from the fun run, visitors can look forward to aircraft fly-ins and displays, helicopter appearances, live entertainment, food stalls, market stalls and activities for the whole family.

Gates open at 07:00, with the fun run starting at 08:00.

Organisers encourage residents to gather their families and friends, take part in the event and help make a difference in the lives of girls in the community.
