Turning Point Ministries (TPM) will mark its 10th anniversary with a month-long programme of celebrations in September, including a gospel concert in aid of three Springs community organisations.

The ministry based at 59 Miller Road in Nuffield, will host a series of events throughout September 2026, wrapping it up with a special thanksgiving service on September 30 under the declaration, ‘Thank You Jesus for Everything!’

The programme will include a special birthday breakfast, ministry gatherings, three evenings of Rejuvenation from September 14 to 16, a family braai, a Heritage Day Gospel Concert and TPM’s special 10th Birthday Celebration on September 25.

The Heritage Day Gospel Concert, taking place on September 24, will support Springs SPCA, Hope Ithemba Pregnancy Centre and Vita Nova.

Pastor David Payaniandi told the Springs Advertiser that the anniversary is an opportunity for the ministry to reflect on its journey and the faithfulness of God over the past 10 years.

“What began with a vision and a desire to make Jesus known has become a testimony of God’s faithfulness,” said Payaniandi.

Since its establishment, Payaniandi shared that the church has sought to be more than a place where people attend church, with a focus on building a family in Christ where people can encounter Jesus, discover hope, grow in their faith and find opportunities to serve others.

Payaniandi said the journey has included periods of joy, growth and breakthrough, as well as seasons that required perseverance, faith and determination.

“Ten years later, we are still standing, still believing and still serving. We do not celebrate ourselves but celebrate Jesus Christ and what He has done.

“Every person who has prayed, served, given, encouraged and stood with this ministry forms part of this testimony,” explained the pastor.

While the 10th anniversary is a time to look back, Payaniandi indicated that it is also the beginning of a new chapter for TPM.

“Our prayer for the next season is that we will love Jesus more, serve people better, reach more lives and continue growing together as one family in Christ,” he said.

He also paid tribute to those who have contributed to the ministry’s journey over the past decade.

“We honour those who helped lay the foundations, those who stood with us through difficult seasons, those who serve today and those who will become part of the journey in the years ahead,” said Payaniandi.

As Turning Point Ministries enters its second decade, its message remains, ‘Jesus Above All.’

The ministry invites the Springs community, friends and former members to join its 10th Birthday Celebration Month throughout September.
