Church concert unites Springs community
The community came in numbers for the gospel concert hosted by Turning Point Ministries in the church’s tenth anniversary.
Turning Point Ministries brought the Springs community together for a gospel concert on September 24 held at the church in Nuffield for its 10th anniversary celebrations.
Pastor David Payaniandi shared that the concert reflected the church’s gratitude for a decade of serving the Springs community.
He said the church wanted this occasion to be an opportunity to give back to the community that has been part of its journey.
The event was organised to raise funds for three valued organisations: Hope Ithemba Pregnancy Centre, Springs SPCA and Vita Nova Centre.

He added that each organisation serves an important need and it was a privilege to bring people together in support of their work.
“On behalf of Turning Point Ministries, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and supported the concert.
“The wonderful turnout was deeply encouraging. Seeing our community come together with such enthusiasm and generosity made this anniversary celebration especially meaningful,” said Payaniandi.
Payaniandi indicated that the highlight of the day was the excellent karate demonstration by Kishou JKS Karate Springs.

He thanked the team for sharing their skill and discipline and adding something special to the programme.
The pastor also expressed appreciation to Toyota Springs, Born Fierce and Kishou JKS Karate Springs for their sponsorship and support.
“We also extend a special thank-you to the TPM Fund Raising Committee for their dedication, planning and hard work in bringing the event together.
“To every performer, volunteer, supporter and person who contributed in any way: thank you. Your efforts helped turn a church milestone into a celebration of community care,” he said.

Vita Nova’s Michelle Immelman said it was a blessed and memorable day for the staff and residents of the centre at the concert.
Immelman shared that they were grateful for the opportunity to spend a beautiful day outdoors, enjoying fresh air, uplifting gospel music, wonderful company and the joy of catching up with many old friends. The atmosphere was filled with love, laughter, fellowship and praise.
Echoing the pastor’s words, she expressed that the karate display was also a wonderful highlight and added excitement and energy to an already special day.
“A special and heartfelt thank you to Turning Point Ministries for nominating Vita Nova Centre, Hope Ithemba and Springs SPCA as beneficiaries.
“Your kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness mean so much to us. It is a blessing to be remembered and supported by a community that cares,” said Immelman.
She thanked the church for creating such a beautiful event and for bringing people together through music, fellowship and compassion. She added that they were truly grateful and felt privileged to have been part of this special day.
