Boxing did not disappoint fans
KwaThema resident, Vusi Bilankulu featured in the first of six bouts at the Boxing Explosion event which took place at Carnival City last Thursday.
Vusi did not disappoint his fans, although he narrowly lost out to opponent Stanis Kulondi.
In this non title fight, Stanis won with a split second decision.
The four rounds of the junior middleweight fight were nail-biting for the Vusi supporters, but Stanis got the better of him.
Vusi says he needs to concentrate more on his fighting, but he is not as fit as he should be.
In the other matches Walter Dlamini beat Hanson Baloyi in a unanimous decision; Deon Coetzee beat Jean Lutete with majority points, Daddy Mpinga lost to Dwaine Combrink in a first round technical knock out.
Jarred Silverman won with a unanimous decision against Stone van Aswegen. In the fight between Masterd Mangalaza and Warren Joubert, Masterd victoriously beat Warren and this fight lasted the full eight rounds.
