RDP wins soccer tournament
The RDP football club from Kwa-Thema, successfully defended its title during the Kwatsaduza festive games.
Technical coach, Winile Mnguni, assistant captain, Mojalefa Mojalefa, captain, Floyd Figland, coach, Bongani Nonkelela.
The tournament began on December 20 at the Kwa-Thema sports complex with 10 teams participating.
The final was played on the 30th in Tsakane stadium and RDP played against Tsakane civil servants.
The champions scored their two goals within normal play time and also conceded their only goal in the tournament on the day.
The winners walked away with a R8 000 prize money, a trophy, medals for all players as well as a new soccer jersey for the team.
Coach Bongani Nonkelela said he is proud of his team for putting in the hard work and successfully defending the title.
He now has his sights set on the Tsamaya league, which he also plans to win.
