Gary dickson Memorial finals
The finals of the Gary Dickson Memorial Veterans Tournament took place at the Selection Park tennis courts on Saturday.
Members of the tennis club battled it out over the past month and the victors were crowned on Saturday.
The mixed doubles match was won by Tony Stevenson and Elsa Labuschagne with a score of 8-5.
Overall winners of the tournament were as follows:
- Men’s Doubles winners- Ernst de Wet and Ian Iggulden.
- Women’s Doubles Winners- Elsa Labuschagne and Linda Knoetze.
- Mixed doubles Winners- Johan du Plessis and Michelle Kent.
The next event on the tennis calendar is the Winter League which will commence in the first week of May.
The Selection Park Tennis Club will be playing against teams across the East Rand.
