Results of Race to Champions
The Race to Champions Junior Golf Day took place at Springs Country Club Golf Club last Friday.
The six junior players have played in the competition every Friday since July 4.
The youngest of the six players at the Estrada Golf Academy, Enrico Greeff, is only seven years old.
Christo Hattingh, coaching the six juniors is very proud of them and says the competition will run for 20 weeks until November 21.
The juniors are determined to play their best golf every Friday.
Friday’s winner was Tiaan van Tonder with 21 points.
Stefan van der Merwe was second with 16 points.
“The purpose of the academy is to get more juniors involved in the game,” says Christo.
A winner will be chosen every Friday and will receive a prize from their coach.
The player with the most wins until the end of the competition, will accompany Christo to the Sun City Golf Challenge in December, all expenses paid.
Christo says the player will experience the pros playing golf and also meet some of them.
The next competition is on Friday at 2.30am, at the Springs Country Club.
