Golf day in support of Dylan

Debbie Gaddy was one of the organisers of the fundraising event held at the Springs Country Club on Sunday in aid of Dylan Jenkins.

Golfers gathered at hole one for the tee-off of the four ball competition which started at 11am.

The 17-year-old Dylan is mentally and physically challenged and also suffers from scoliosis in the spine.

The Team Dave Trust held the fundraiser to assist Dylan in his daily needs at the Avril Elizabeth Home in Germiston where he now resides.

His father, David Jenkins, died shortly after being diagnosed with cancer, leaving Dylan at the home where his grandmother Wendy Kay says, David believed he would receive the best care possible.

She says Dylan needs daily physio, speech and occupational therapy sessions and many visits to doctors and specialists and struggles to eat without a feeding tube.
