Exciting season opener at Rock Raceway
Rockmania is a perfect way to start a brand new motorsport season at Rock Raceway on January 17.
The 400m circuit will soon come alive with drifters from all over South Africa and Mozambique.
Spokesman Abie Sada says plenty of V8 action from the Outlaw V8 Sprints Cars and Lexus V8s will perform on the day.
The Oval Saloons Classes will also be racing, including the 1600 Stock Rods, Retro Rods, Pinto Classes and Super Saloons.
Open wheelers will include the Ninja Kids-in-Racing SA ages three to 12 years, Micro Midgets, 125 Karts and Formula 2 Midgets.
Sada says high speed action from the Formula N circuit cars will keep the spectators entertained.
Straight line racing fans will also be treated to some side by side heads up action as the street drag racers take on the 1/8th mile strip.
The gates open at 10am and racing starts at 3pm.
Entry for adults is R65 and R30 for children aged six to 12 years.
Embankment parking is available at R40.
Refreshments will be on sale.
