New President’s Trophy winner

Sixty-two golfers competed for the trophy in an Individual Stableford format.

Piet scored 41 points on count out on the day.

Johan Venter came in second place with 41 points, followed by Arend Grobler, who scored 40 points on count out.

Arend also took nearest the pin at the second hole.

José Carrazon took fourth place with 40 points on count out, while Pieter van der Merwe was in fifth place with 40 points.

Dudley Meredith took nearest the pin at hole eight, Bennie de Lange at hole 12 and Dean Kotze at hole 15.

The East Rand Commercial and Industrial League (Ercil) will be played at Pollak Park on Saturday.

The next Super 16 game will be played on April 23.

Golfers thanked the club’s greenkeeper, Koos Erasmus, for the condition of the course.
