Mr Kick headlining at EFC 48

One of Springs' professional Extreme Fighting Championships (EFC) fighters, Stefan 'Mr Kick' Pretorius, will be headlining the preliminary card at the EFC 48.

The fight, scheduled to take place on April 22 at the GrandWest Casino in Cape Town, will be broadcast on a national TV-channel and will be available for viewing live on www.kwesesports.com.

According to Stefan, his original opponent sustained a rib injury and had to be replaced.

“I will now be fighting against Bruno ‘The Major’ Mukulu from Cape Town,” he says.

Stefan, who is fighting in the welterweight division, adds that Bruno has fought some of the best fighters in this division and already has eight fights behind him, of which he has won two.

This will be Stefan’s fourth professional fight in his young EFC career, pocketing two wins out of the previous three fights.

Training out of the Springs Rio Grappling Club, Stefan says: “I don’t mind that he has more experience, I look forward to the challenge.”

He adds that he likes testing himself against better opponents and feels that in beating Bruno, he will be one step closer to the top of the welterweight division.

“I am looking forward to beating him in front of his home crowd.”
