Striders Athletics Club run to honour Mandela

Madiba said, “It’s in your hands to make the world a better place”.

For 67 years, the late Nelson Mandela devoted his life to the service of humanity and to honour his legacy. Striders Athletics Club are planning a run/walk for 67 minutes.

Madiba truly lived by the African saying, ubuntu, ‘I am because we are’, which means human kindness. It is the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity.

Mandela Day is a call to action that celebrates the idea that each individual has the power to transform the world and the ability to make an impact.
