Gingers Day takes place with heavy hearts.

On Saturday, the usual monthly Gingers Golf Day at Pollak Park Golf Club was held.
This after last month’s competition was cancelled due to the death of the convener’s father, Harry Wise.
“Then, we faced another very sad tragedy with our convener himself, Mike Wise, dying earlier this month.
“His mother also died shortly after.
“When we all met this past Saturday, it was with extreme sadness that we all reflected on the special times we had with Mike.
“He was a truly great man with a wonderful smile always and a cheerful encouraging word to whoever he spoke to.
“Our hearts go out to all his family and wife, Shona, and the two children,” explained Bruce Gardner, one of the club’s members.
