KWF Springs karateka boasts an achievement

Three dojos competed at the Interclub Championship on October 15, where 61 karateka of KWF Springs Karate Club delivered outstanding results.

KWF Springs Karate Club members did well at the Interclub Championship on October 15.

The competition, which brought together members from three dojos, was held at Brakpan Indoor Sports Centre.

Thirty-seven karateka from the club won 61 medals. Kata: nine karateka won gold medals, seven won silver and 15 walked away with bronze medals.

Kihon ippon kumite: five karateka won gold, four celebrated silver medals and 12 claimed bronze. Kumite: four karateka won silver medals and five karatekas walked away with bronze.

Sensei Fanie du Plessis thanked sensei, Chris Anthony, from Brakpan for hosting and inviting the KWF Springs Karate Club.
