Run of the mill slasher movie
Movie: Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D Reviewed by: Sarah Coughlan Review made possible by: Rating: 3 out of 10

The attempted re-branding and remaking of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre in this movie was a failed attempt.
The movie is about Heather (Alexandra Daddario) who inherits an estate from her biological grandmother and takes a trip with her friends to see the house. On arriving, she uncovers she has inherited way more than just the house.
Because it was recreated for the ever-growing 3D genre, there are more blood splatters and chainsaw scenes than usual, but these do not add a great deal to the attempted ‘realness’ of the movie.
You will not fully understand this movie unless you have seen all the previous ones, as this one does not follow sequence and jumps in after the first movie.
With acting that falls way under the bar, poorly written characters, a ten year gap that everyone ignores, and a pretty laughable storyline, it is a typical slasher movie with plenty of blood and gore for those who are die hard slasher film fans.
