Great food at the Stable Inn

The Stable Inn Conference Centre provides a peaceful and serene environment for its patrons to enjoy.

The sounds of hundreds of doves cooing fills the air and adds to the peaceful surroundings.

Children will not easily get bored with myriad activities to take part in such as volleyball, swimming, putt-putt and much more.

Service seems to be of the utmost importance to the Stable Inn’s staff and they deliver.

Our waiter for the day was Lucky Mthethwa and his service was impeccable, with a smile and positive attitude, he could do no wrong.

The food was phenomenal and very reasonably priced indeed.

To start, I ordered the crumbed mushrooms which were cooked to perfection.

A usual problem I face with crumbed mushrooms is that they are far too oily, this is not the case at the Stable Inn.

My mother ordered the shrimp cocktail, which she said was amazing.

For the main course, I had the spare ribs with four prawns special and was licking my lips, savouring the taste of the gigantic prawns I was served.

The ribs were succulent and the barbeque sauce had my mouth watering.

My mother ordered the butterfly fillet with pepper and cheese sauces and was definitely not disappointed.

Halfway through our mains we were visited by a group of ponies, much to the delight of my animal-loving mother.

This welcome intrusion didn’t detract from the atmosphere of our lunch in the slightest.

By the time we had devoured our main courses, we were too sated to continue on for dessert as the portions we had were huge.

I could not believe the size of my protions and how much they cost.

The Stable Inn provides a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

So whether you want an outing for the day or a weekend away with the family, the Stable Inn is definitely the place to go.
