October 11
• The Springs Senior Citizens Club will hold their annual general meeting at 1pm at the club located at 1A Seventh Street North, just off First Avenue in the CBD. Contact Merle Mackenzie on 011 811 1700.

• Leratong Place of Love Crisis has its annual general meeting at 9am at Selcourt Methodist Church, 7 Granada Road. Contact Juanita de Canha on 011 363 1368/9.
• Springs Senior Citizens will host a classical concert at 1.30pm for 2pm at the centre located at 1A Seventh Street North, Springs CBD. Tickets cost R50 each and include tea/coffee and refreshments. Contact Merle Mackenzie on 011 811 1700.
October 13
• The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs invites you to the 27th Saravathee celebrations. This is a multi-cultural heritage concert to be held at 2.30pm at Springs Secondary School, 67 Honeysuckle Drive, Bakerton. The guest speaker will be Premi Govender, deputy president of the Tamil Federation of Gauteng. Contact Poovershree Pillay on 072 693 7808.
October 19
• Trinity Methodist Church presents bingo at 3pm at the Springs Senior Citizens Club 1A Seventh Street North, Springs CBD. R60 gets you 20 games and hamburgers and refreshments will be on sale. For catering purposes contact the church office on 011 815 3346.
October 26
• Join the Springs Park Rotary Anns at Riverside Country Estate for Breakfast for Cansa where there will be great food, an excellent motivational speaker. This is for a good cause. The event starts at 9.30am for 10am and tickets cost R200 per person. Tickets are available from Barbara-Ann Day on 082 450 1130 or Pat Dewe on 082 492 9340.
• NG Kerk Selectionpark hou basaar, van 9vm tot laat, op die park oorkant George Sutter Park by die eendedam (Nigelweg). • Senior Citizens Lunch at noon at SpringsCare. Booking is essential and must be confirmed by Thursday no later than 2pm. The centre is located at 1A Seventh Street North, just off First Avenue in the CBD. Contact Merle Mackenzie on 011 811 1700.
• Yoga classes from 10am to 11am at the Senior Centre situated at 1A Seventh Street North in Springs CBD. Contact Merle Mackenzie on 011 811 1700.
Every Saturday
• The South African Sea Cadets meet every Saturday at Training Ship Springs on Colliery Road, Lodeyko, from 8.30am to 3.30pm. Boys and girls ages 11 to 18 are invited to join them to learn more about maritime and naval skills, and enjoy great camaraderie in a fun environment. Contact Lt Commander Chris Hand on 076 226 6646.
