Bikers delight fans at Springs Mall

The parking lot was cleared to make way for a ramp which crossed a distance of 20m with the bikers soaring the height of a three-storey building.

Petrolheads were in for a delight on Saturday as three of the best motocross bikers in South Africa, namely Dallan Goldman, Scotty Billet and Nick de Wit, demonstrated their talents at the Springs Mall.

The parking lot was cleared to make way for a ramp which crossed a distance of 20m with the bikers soaring the height of a three-storey building.

These daring bikers performed a variety of tricks ranging from the superman to back flips, much to the delight of the crowd.

A crosswind was blowing, adding more danger to their mid-air antics.

Their most impressive and hair-raising stunt was when the three bikers jumped one after the other in seconds with all of them then in the air simultaneously.

Drifting legend Tim Stephens was also there burning up rubber and delighting the crowd with his skillful driving.

Stephens, who helped organise the event, says: “We did drifting last year and wanted to something a little different this year.

“The mall is really making a name for itself in the local motoring scene and we have a great working relationship with them and Rock Raceway who helped make all this possible.”
