African Tigers FC youth teams roar in Eastern Local Football Association league

African Tigers teams continue to impress in the Easter Local Football Association league with several dominant performances.

African Tigers FC has played various games in the Eastern Local Football Association (ELFA) league, producing outstanding results.

The head coach, Imtiaz Choughlay, says the U9, U12 and U13 teams have impressed.

“The league is going very well, although opposition is tough,” Choughlay said.

The club has a new U8 team that comprises girls and boys.

He added that his players have emerged victorious in recent games, with U12 player Ndumiso Buthelezi scoring a hat-trick in a match.

Despite their U12 team’s 1-0 loss against Mercurial Stars, Choughlay says he remains optimistic.

“Our supporters can look forward to U9s (L1), and U12s and U13s (both L2) winning the league. There is a lot of potential in all age groups,” he said.

Last week’s results:

  • U8 1-4 DBK
  • U9 4-1 Benoni Northerns (L1)
  • U9 4-1 Old Bens (L3)
  • U12 5-2 Alberton
  • U13 9-1 Sunward Park
