Five tyres stolen off Fortuner in Woltemade Street in Die Heuwel

Thieves want your tyres.

For a resident in eMalahleni walking out to see his Toyota Fortuner balancing on pavement bricks was an utter surprise.

Mr Mahomed Bhamjee’s wife went outside just after 06:00 on Tuesday,  September 21 when she saw their vehicle balancing on bricks.

The suspects took all four tyres off the vehicle and also helped themselves to the spare wheel.

“It was so shocking to see my vehicle standing on the pavement bricks,” said Bhamjee.

What is more surprising is that the vehicle was parked in the driveway that is situated on Woltemade Street and there is always security patrolling up and down the road.
