Following Spring Day on September 1, numerous parties originated spontaneously and Capt Eddie Hall, media spokesperson expressed his disdain about the situation. He said that the public will be arrested for drunk driving, being drunk in public and more.
Kingdom Mabuza, municipal spokesperson were once again contacted about the situation, as Heritage Day is approaching fast.

He said:
“Residents who organise parties, funerals and other events which have the potential to disturb either traffic flow or general peace should seek permission from the municipality and consult or inform their neighbours. It is unacceptable that individuals can impulsively organise events without consent of the municipality and neighbours.”
A resident of the area expressed their experience and frustration with the area:
“There is a car wash in the open field. They have constant parties with no toilets. Where do they go? With the spring celebrations they just urinated, with no shame whatsoever. Children who live in the area see all of this.”
The resident said that they saw young children, so drunk and driving on the roofs of cars.
“We had residents who used to clean up, they put bins up for the rubbish but the partygoers will just throw the rubbish next to the bins. Our Ward Councillor have tried, but the problem persists.”
