Decota MMA is the club to beat
Clayton must have escaped about 5 armbar attempts still coming back winning his fight in extra time
Decota MMA took six junior bullyproof athletes to compete in an event where five from the six were placed for medals.
The team competed on Saturday, March 30 at the Gauteng Grappling League (GGL) and they dominated the event.
The team brought back home two gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals and the club brought back the floating trophy for the best club.
The club took Youane De Jager, Alex Pienaar, Monique Lourens, Ricardo Reynard, Reagan Reynard and Clayton Reynard competing and fighting there way to the top.
Professional MMA fighter and head coach of Decota MMA Fanie “The Viper” Prinsloo saw that the Reynard brothers were too big and experienced for there weight classes and made the decision for the boys to move up a weight class and be tested there and the boys did great and displayed their skills on another level even against boys older and heavier than them.
Clayton must have escaped about 5 armbar attempts still coming back winning his fight in extra time.
Decota MMA leads the other clubs with 13 points to seven and will be back at the next event to defend the trophy.
