Eight-year-old dies
The family of Kagiso Sikele is shocked about how his young life was cut short in very mysterious way.

Hi granny, Ms Pitsi Seloane, said the family is still in a state of shock and it will take some time to sink in that Kagiso is no more.
She said Kagiso together with other children left her place in Extension 14 to visit their aunt who stays in Extension 12 on Friday, April 4, late afternoon and slept over with the other children.
Kagiso left Extension 12 to visit his father who stays nearby in Extension 9 at Emsagweni the following day. According to the family it is not clear as to what time the young Kagiso left Extension 12 to go to his father’s place.
Ms Seloane, who attended a funeral on Saturday morning, came back about 12:00 to find Kagiso playing happily outside the house. Things started to wrong at about 17:00.
“He complained about stomach pains and he was sweating. He kneeled down and I asked him to take a bath but he refused, he then hugged me very tight and lay on the bed. I asked other family members and a neighbour to check on him. Within 20 minutes he was gone,” explained Ms Seloane.
Apparently his father confirmed that they had both eaten macaroni and Kagiso also ate a flavoured ice cream.
Kagiso was a Grade 2 pupil at Nelson Ngubeni Primary School. He was described as child full of life, very active and he loved telling jokes. The family will definitely miss him. He was laid to rest on Thursday, April 10.
Police have opened an inquest.
