Vosman Police van clarity
A resident from the Vosman community brought forward a concern regarding a police van that was parked in a residential area.
The problem the resident had was that the police tell them that there are no vans available when they are called to fight crime. Vosman Police acting Station Commander, Colonel Abel Maluleke shed some light concerning the issue.
“I appreciate the effort of the community to be on the lookout for any police vehicles which seem to be suspicious. However, the vehicle in question is one that belongs to Vosman Police Station and it was assigned to the home-owner, where it was parked to work on a crime. The nature of these vehicles is that they are assigned tasks and hours, along with those tasks as to when and where they should go out. The approach is being reviewed time and again and solutions to better deliver services are on our list of priorities,” said Colonel Maluleke.
The community should always make the police aware of such issues for effective communication between them and the police.
Colonel Maluleke hopes this brings ease to the complainant and that they have a better understanding why the van is at the residence of the police official.
