Man shot and left bleeding

Gunshots sounded in the cold night air. A man was left to bleed on jagged rocks outside in the street.

On Tuesday April 29, around 20:00, gunshots sounded in Van Rensburg Street.
“The men who were on duty said they heard three gunshots. We came as soon as we heard,” said Mr Gideon van der Merwe, manager of a security firm, on scene.

A man, known only as Samuel, was found out on the road when security went to investigate. Police and ambulance services were called to the scene.

‘Samuel’ sustained wounds to the right side of his lower body and was transported to hospital by Langamed Emergency Management.
The reason behind the shooting incident is still being investigated and suspects are still unknown.
